Considering the beginning of the holiday season and vacations, parents should be more careful towards their children. At the time when the pandemic has embraced widespread child control issue is particularly relevant in quarantine days. Despite regular awareness-raising campaigns on parental responsibility the sad news of child victims of parental irresponsibility is often a source of public concern. The news of a neglected child almost drowned in the sea shocked everyone. Despite the fact that the child was saved, the rescuer drowned.

As it is emphasized in the Constitution of our country, the duty of parents is first of all to care for and bring up their children. Unfortunately, sometimes there are cases of non-fulfillment of parental duties, abusing parental rights, neglecting. It should be taken into account that law enforcement agencies investigate such cases, provide them with the necessary legal assessment and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs once again urges parents to be more responsible and strengthen control over their children.
