The project on "Economic support for entrepreneurship and employment, a component of support for gender-based violence" is being implemented

The State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have been implementing the Economic Support to Entrepreneurship and Employment project since 2011. The main goal of the project is to provide economic opportunities for women living in rural areas to join entrepreneurship and increase employment.

 This year, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development, a project entitled "Economic Support for Entrepreneurship and Employment, a Component for Supporting Gender-Based Violence" was launched. The aim of the project is to support and strengthen intra-community mechanisms to eliminate cases of domestic violence on the basis of gender, and to expand women's economic empowerment.

 Within the framework of the project, Salyan, Neftchala, Masalli, Bilasuvar districts were visited on September 23-24. Meetings with the participation of the Monitoring Group on Gender Violence and Violence against Children and traditional government agencies established in local executive authorities discussed activities and goals for organizing coordination work for the implementation of the project. During the meetings with the participation of Seymur Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Law Department of the Committee and Gulara Humbatova, UNDP Project Manager.

As a continuation of the project in order to hold trainings, it is planned to visit Sabirabad, Zagatala, Gusar, Khachmaz and Khazar districts.
