The Chair of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs made a speech at the high-level online meeting dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the 4th World Conference on Women in the framework of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly.

Speaking at the plenary part of the event, the Chairperson of the Committee informed about laws adopted in our country, "Azerbaijan 2020: Look into the future" concept and main directions of gender policy in Azerbaijan.

Mrs. Muradova noted that against the background of difficult social-political and military situation, Azerbaijan has implemented important reforms. The Chairperson also informed the participants that Azerbaijani women suffer more from the conflict caused by territorial claims and military aggression of Armenia against our country.  She also underlined that a National Action Plan in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1325 has been adopted.

At the end of her speech, Mrs.Muradova noted the difficulties caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic and stressed the importance of collaborative work in this direction.
