It is a crime against humanity for the Armenian armed forces to target civilians and residential areas of Azerbaijan by firing rockets at them once again.

On the night of October 17, 2020, the city of Ganja, located outside the frontline and the conflict zone, was terrorized for the third time and fired at by ballistic missiles.  As a result of this terror, 13 people, including 3 children and 4 women, were killed, 48 people, including 5 children and 20 women, were seriously injured, and 2 children were missing.  The fact that women and children are among the victims of the terrorist acts of the Armenian leadership, which could not stand in front of the heroic Azerbaijani army, is another manifestation of the historical massacres committed by Armenians.

Since September 27, 2020, the Armenian armed forces have intensively fired on Azerbaijani positions along the line of contact, as well as Azerbaijani cities not included in the conflict zone, local settlements and civilian objects, killing a total of 60 civilians.  270 civilians were injured.  1704 houses, 327 civil facilities and 90 multi-storey residential buildings fell into disrepair.

As the people of Azerbaijan, we are disturbed by the fact that the world community is still silent about these events that took place in front of their eyes ,which clearly reflect the barbarism and savagery against humanity, and the war crimes against Azerbaijanis.  The Armenian leadership, which has grossly violated the norms and principles of international humanitarian law, including the declared humanitarian ceasefire, must be held fully accountable for its crimes and held accountable to the international community.

As the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, we call on our colleagues, other government agencies and relevant international organizations not to be indifferent to the consequences of this war crime, paying special attention to the situation of families, children and women affected by this war.  . We demand the whole world community  to take immediate steps to end the cowardly targeting of Azerbaijani civilians by Armenia, in defiance of UN Security Council Resolution 2427 on Measures to Protect Children in Armed Conflict, the UN General Assembly resolutions adopted in 2006 and 2008, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and does not implement UN Security Council Resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884.
