A study visit to Lithuania was organized as part of a Twinning project on domestic violence

A study visit to the Republic of Lithuania was organized within the framework of the EU-funded twinning project "Strengthening the capacity of government agencies and local referral mechanisms to ensure the safety and support of victims of domestic violence in Azerbaijan" implemented by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs and relevant organizations of Lithuania and Austria on 23- 27 August, 2021.

Representatives of the State Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, as well as the head of the monitoring group on gender-based violence and violence against children of Sabunchu executive power  are taking part in the study visit headed by Mrs. Sadagat Gahramanova, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.

During the visit, Mrs. Sadagat Gahramanova met with Mrs. Monica Navickienė, the minister of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania on August 23, 202 and, discussed the activities carried out under the Twinning project and activities planned for the coming period during the meeting. Afterward, the Azerbaijani delegation got acquainted with the activities of the shelter and assistance center providing 24/7 services to victims of domestic violence.
