On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a charity event for children was organised

On 3 December 2022, the State Committee for Family,Women and Children Affairs  and LivBonaDea Hospital jointly organised a charity event for the children of martyrs' and veterans' families as well as children who used the services of the Shuvalan Child and Family Support Centre of the Committee on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Welcoming the participants, Turkish-Azerbaijani relations volunteer Monique Ipekel stressed the importance of such measures to further strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries. She informed that the children will be examined by medical staff from December 5 to 15 as part of the campaign.

Furthermore, the Chairperson of the State Committee Bahar Muradova spoke about the importance of this charity event, which is organized to provide moral support to children with disabilities and attract public attention to them. Moreover, Mrs. Muradova drew attention to the action plan signed between Turkey and Azerbaijan on cooperation on family, women and children's issues.

Noting that projects related to children are one of the main activities of the Committee, the Chair stressed the interest in co-operation in this important work and willingness to support future projects in this area.

The event continued with children performing poetry and an art piece.

At the end of the event, gifts were given to the participating children.
