As a continuation of educational meetings held in educational institutions by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Science and Education, a meeting was held on April 13, 2023 with the participation of students and teaching staff of the College of Economics and Humanities at Baku State University.

At the meeting on "Reproductive health and family planning", Mrs.Kamila Aliyeva, deputy head of the Family Affairs Department of the State Committee, made a presentation and told the participants of the event about the recommendations on the formation of safe sexual behavior habits and the protection of reproductive health.

Mrs. K. Aliyeva emphasized that ensuring the dynamic growth of the population in Azerbaijan, the upbringing of adolescents and young people as a healthy generation is one of the priority directions of the state policy, the laws adopted in the direction of protecting the health of the population, especially children and young people, ensuring reproductive health rights, and preventing gender selection of children before birth, talked about the state programs and implemented measures.

Then Mrs. Zumrud Kazimova, a doctor-methodologist of the Center for Public Health Reforms of the Ministry of Health, spoke and informed about the main factors of reproductive health, the negative effect of early marriages on reproductive health, and the consequences of artificial termination of pregnancy.

Later, Mrs. Natavan Aliyeva, head of the educational department of the college, made a speech and emphasized the importance of such informative meetings for teenagers and young people.

At the end of the meeting, the questions of the participants were answered.
