Integration of children with limited access to health into the society and creation of equal opportunities for them is one of the major priorities of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.  In this direction, the Committee continuously holds events for ensuring of re-integration and sociability of the children.  3 December designated as the “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”. The celebration of this day has become a tradition in Azerbaijan.

On the occasion of this day, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs held an event together with Garadagh District Executive Authority at Heydar Aliyev Center located in Garadag region aimed at giving moral support to the children with limited health opportunity, as well as demonstrate them holiday spirit with the participation of children who need special care and children of ‘Mushfig’ Public Union for Assistance to Disabled Children.

Mrs. Jamila Baghirova, Head of the Department of Children Affairs of the SCFWCA, Mrs. Tarana Ismayilova, Deputy Head of the Garadagh District Executive Authority, Nurlana Garakhanova, employee of the SCFWCA, Valida Abbasova, Chair of the ‘Mushfig’ Public Union for Assistance to Disabled Children and other governmental representatives participated at the event.

Mrs. Tarana Ismayilova and Mrs. Jamila Baghirova made an opening speech and stressed that, the purpose of the event is to give moral support to the children with limited access to health and directed the attention of society toward them.

After that, “Illusion and small balls show” play was demonstrated which organized by the Committee for the children participating at the event. The event ended with the demonstration of “Qıtqılıda”, “Can bala” and “Arşın mal alan” dances by the students of ‘Mushfig’ Public Union for Assistance to Disabled Children.
