Training on "Prevention of Domestic Violence"

A training on "Prevention of Domestic Violence" was held on  October 11, 2017, within the framework of the project entitled "Strengthening employment opportunities and professional qualifications of refugees and IDP girls with incomplete education", jointly implemented by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs (SCFWCA) and UNESCO. The training participants were provided with detailed information on the prevention of domestic violence, the existing legislation in our country and the provision of social and psychological and legal services to those affected by the violence, activities of the monitoring groups on cases of domestic violence at the Executive powers. The aim of the training was to raise awareness of refugee and IDP girls and their family members, to prevent them from becoming victims of domestic violence. The training participants took part actively in the discussions and underlined the importance of increasing the number of preventive measures in this regard. Participants were provided by detailed information about the law "On Prevention of Domestic Violence", adopted on June 22, 2010, the rules of applying in case of domestic violence, as well as protection order and etc.. Booklets on "Say no to  domestic violence?" were distributed to trainees.
