Training on " Women’s Labor Rights"

A training on "Women’s Labor Rights" was held on October 13, 2017, within the framework of the project entitled "Strengthening employment opportunities and professional qualifications of refugees and IDP girls with incomplete education", jointly implemented by the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs (SCFWCA) and UNESCO. First of all, the participants of the training were informed about the child rights and the conditions of its provision defined by the Labour Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan", the “Law on Identity Card of the citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Labor Code and the issues on its affirmation, entry into force and legal regulations”, the Civil Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of Azerbaijan Republic “About public health care” and “Worst Forms of Child Labor” Convention (1999).

The aim of the training was to teach international and national mechanisms for the protection of labor rights of women and conduct enlightening workshops on national legislation among the population. Participants of the training were actively involved in the discussions and suggested conducting regular awareness activities in this area. In the training, the booklets on "My Labor Rights" were distributed to trainees.
